Vaastu
The science of construction of Towns, Temples, Mansions and Houses on the Earth is called Vaasthu. The term Vaasthu is derived from the word Vasa, meaning habitat. In "Amara Kosa", the Sanskrit dictionary, Vaasthu is referred to as the site, fit for construction of a residence. Hence the science pertaining to the construction of houses, came to be known as Vaasthu.
According to the Bavishyothara Purana, the epic depicting future, every one must have an ideal house fit for residence. It also states that rituals and ceremonies performed by people residing in rented accommodations do not yield desired results. However, our research and experience on Vaasthu has proved that efficacy of Vaasthu remains unaffected irrespective of the ownership of the habitat.

The main plant or machinery should be erect only in the southwest corner of the factory building, alongside the southern or western wall. However, in case of machines requiring erection at a comparatively lower level than the machinery installed at a subsequent level of the production process, steps should be taken to ensure that the subsequent levels of the machines are erected on a platform and in no case should a pit or depression be allowed in southwest. .

Vaastu for Buildings
The Concept of Vaasthu for buildings can be best explained with the example of the Green lands building which is situated at Begumpet, Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, India. “ Green lands ” is a palatial building, located at Begumpet on the way to Hyderabad air port. This is a state owned property, and used to be the official residence of the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
The vaasthu of this building is such, that all the seven chief ministers who stayed here, had to step out of power, before the expiry of their respective terms of office. One of the negative features of this building as per the science of Vaasthu, can be the extension in north, northwest of the compound which is covered completely. The phenomenon results in fire accidents, robberies, apart from causing change of place to the inhabitants. It also casts evil effect on the female inhabitants.
